CONSULTATIONS FOR THE SHAPE OF YOUR FACE

Cosmetic clinics in Australia are prohibited by law to advertise:

- the brand names of any medicines that may be used in a treatment

- the pricing of any medicines that may be used in a treatment

- explicit treatments, areas of concern or techniques that may be used

- before and after images that utilise medicines in the treatment

This also includes not being allowed to advertise the brands of any products to shape your face.

Dr Jake is an international speaker and trainer in these techniques. Depending on your age, sex, ethnicity and features, every face is different and special. In your consultation a bespoke plan will be mapped out to help you achieve the most holistic results over a sustained period of time.

WHAT ARE THESE CONSULTATIONS FOR?

In your consultation Dr Jake will aim to get an understanding of your 'wants' (what you think you might like) vs your anatomical 'needs' (what he recommends based on your clinical photos and facial examination). Sometimes these marry up nicely and sometimes they don't, so each consultation aims to help you understand your face, your anatomy and what the treatment possibilities are that will leave you looking natural.

Various options will be discussed depending on your needs but some common themes that many patients notice include wanting to:

- reduce the signs of sagging

- reduce the signs of tiredness

- reduce the signs of looking sad

- reduce the signs of looking angry

- look more feminine or masculine

- look more contoured

- look more attractive or handsome

- look 'younger'

Facial aesthetics and the signs of facial aging are complex for patients to understand. Dr Jake rarely focuses on treating individual facial areas on their own because this simplistic approach can risk looking disjointed, jarring or 'obvious'. One common example is treating the lips in isolation when the rest of the face doesn't match - this can look disproportionate, fake or just very strange!

It's often said that 'good' work goes unnoticed whereas 'bad' work is seen. Good work translates to you appearing to look rested, youthful and vibrant but what was done remains a secret. This is why you can't tell if someone with a good result has had treatments, but oppositely those with more obvious treatments tend to be easily spotted in the street and this look is often perceived very negatively.

KEY FEATURES OF FACIAL VOLUMISING

Consultations

New patient filler consultations +/- treatments = 60 mins.

Returning patient consultations + treatments = 45 mins.

Full face indications

Clinical photography will be used to examine your entire face and features to design the most holistic and aged appropriate treatments.

Long-lasting outcomes

The results of facial volumising or shaping are immediate & can last 1-5 years depending on the technique used.

Expected longevity

Dr Jake Sloane will suggest a minimum amount of product for each facial region. Products tend to last far longer than patients often realise and Dr Jake will guide you each time to avoid looking over-done or unnatural.

DOWNTIME & AFTERCARE FOR FACIAL VOLUMSING & SHAPING

  • All facial voluming or shaping patients will experience a degree of swelling, tenderness +/- bruising. One to two weeks of mild down time will always occur after these treatments and this is a normal soft tissue response.

  • This downtime period should be factored into your diary, work arrangements and social life before you commit to a treatment. The vast majority of patients can go about normal daily activities the next day with but new patients are reminded that these treatments are medical procedures and not simple beauty treatments.
